Full context:   In early Buddhist doctrine, the taint of sensuality (kāma-āsava) is one of the three (sometimes four) psychological taints (āsava) that must be eradicated for the attainment of awakening. In the Buddha's first sermon, the Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta, the "desire for sensual pleasure" (kāmataṇhā) is enumerated as one of the three forms of desire (taṇhā) that entrap beings in the cycle of rebirth (saṃsāra).
